The numbers under the strings of each chord show you what left hand finger to use.

Fingers: Index is 1, Middle is 2, Ring is 3, Baby is 4.

A small "m" means "minor". The Bm chord is called B minor.

It is very important to practice and play chords using your fingertips.

That way you are less likely to mute other strings. Make sure the notes of each string are clear sounding and not muted.

If they are muted you are either pressing right on the fretwire instead of right behind it, or part of your hand or finger is touching a string improperly.

After awhile your fingertips will develop callouses that are hardly visible but are important.

Once developed, you won't have to press down nearly as hard and your fingers won't get very sore.

This will make your learning go much quicker.
